Imagined by designer Benoît Convers, Joe is the monumental bear of the Mobilier de Compagnie. His sculptural silhouette, instantly recognizable, asserts itself as an emblematic presence. Now reissued in Corten steel, Joe is conceived for the outdoors, where he reveals his full power in a garden, on a terrace, or as part of a landscape project.
Cut from Corten steel by a local partner and assembled in our own workshop, Joe benefits from the craftsmanship that defines every Ibride creation. This living, technical material naturally forms a protective layer that makes it resistant to the elements. Over time, its surface evolves into a rich patina of copper and brown hues, varying with its environment. Each Joe is therefore unique, carrying the mark of the place where it stands.
Designed exclusively for outdoor use, Joe withstands seasons and weather with ease. Best installed on a stable, well-drained surface, he requires no treatment: the patina should be left to develop naturally until the steel reaches its balance. Maintenance is minimal — a simple rinse with clear water if needed. The rest is left to time and nature, which slowly shape the bear’s skin.
