La Parade
The Soolmans, one of the most famous couples in art history, are reinterpreted as rare birds in courtship.
A duo inspired by the work of the famous painter Rembrandt. As a tribute to Rembrandt's cultural heritage, Rachel Convers depicts the couple in portraits of Dutch Capuchin figures, echoing the painter's origins.
The Galerie de Portraits showcases unique characters, turning each object into a living painting full of whimsy and refinement.
Inspired by the work of Rembrandt, the Parade trays transform the famous couple Maerten and Oopjen Soolmans into rare birds. Rachel Convers pays tribute to cultural heritage, referencing the Dutch Capuchins as a nod to the painter’s origins.
These trays, both decorative and functional, can be used to serve guests or displayed as true wall artworks.
The Parade serving trays are made from birch laminated wood, a material that is both lightweight and sturdy. The birch is carefully molded in Sweden before being cut and finished in France, providing resistance to water and heat. This choice of material ensures exceptional durability while remaining environmentally responsible. The illustrations are protected by a satin finish that preserves their brilliance over time, even with daily use.
